Editorial policy
Rural Current Journal aims to be accurate, independent and clear about what an article can and cannot establish. We write for curious general readers and take care not to present observation or interpretation as settled fact.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable information available to us and use careful wording when details are uncertain or vary between places. Articles should distinguish description from interpretation, explain relevant context and avoid presenting one local example as representative of all rural life.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader interest and relevance to our subject. A partnership does not buy favourable coverage or editorial control. Any material produced with a partner is kept distinct from independent editorial work and labelled clearly.
Corrections
Readers are invited to report errors through the Contact page. We review correction requests, amend material when warranted and make the nature of a significant correction clear to readers. We do not promise that every disagreement will lead to a change.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements, sponsored material and other partner contributions are identified with clear labels so readers can tell who is behind them. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, we identify them as such and do not use them as evidence of a real place or event.
